The City Hall of Agüimes has opened this Friday the registration period to participate as a volunteer in a new coastal cleanup day, promoted by the Concejalía de Playas, with the aim of preserving the coastal environment and raising awareness among the public about the impact of marine pollution. The event will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, starting at 9:30 a.m. The call is open to all audiences, and interested people can submit their registration from May 22 to June 2 via the municipal website: aguimes.es/playas. The activity will take place at several points along the municipality's coast, with meeting places at Avenida Mancomunidad de Arinaga, at the corner with Calle Fernando Villamil, and Playa de Vargas. There participants will receive the necessary equipment to carry out the task and, once finished, there will be an afternoon of conviviality among participants. Location: Avenida de Los Pescadores.
