The V Rallysprint Ciudad de Arucas, with an excellent pace of registrations. The event that once again is organized by FanMotor already counts around 30 teams registered, a figure that will continue to rise until Wednesday, August 19 at 14:00 h, when the registration period will close. The organization reminds that its new date of celebration will be the 28th and 29th of the current month, also with a new route that includes the passage through the iconic Los Chorros junction.
When more than two weeks remain to complete the registration period, this V Rallysprint Ciudad de Arucas adds around 30 teams at this point, an interesting figure that will surely increase before Wednesday, August 19 at 14:00 h, the moment this mandatory participation deadline will close.
With great certainty, the new route has aroused the teams' interest that have planned their participation in this event. Technical and with good asphalt, it includes the passage through the iconic Los Chorros junction, a strategic point in the rallies of Gran Canaria and which, as a novelty, has been included for the first time in the Arucas rallysprint.
On the other hand, FanMotor reminds participants and fans that the event has been moved forward by one week relative to the initial calendar. Now, August 28 will be dedicated to pre-checks and Saturday the 29th to the development of the six timed stages.
The organization has announced the official poster of this fifth edition, a medium on which all institutions, companies and entities collaborating in this edition appear, in which FanMotor has put all its effort.

Santa Brígida Municipal Library hosts, between the next days September 9 to 30, a commemorative photographic exhibition of the Grupo Montañero Gran Canaria. Organized on the occasion of the 72 years of uninterrupted trajectory of the island’s leading mountaineering organization, the exhibition offers a visual journey through the sports, environmental, and social history of this emblematic group founded in 1954. The display brings together a carefully selected set of 50 large-format images (A3) on photographic paper and foam board, portraying more than seven decades of continuous activity. In addition to the photographic material, visitors can view valuable patrimonial and historical pieces preserved by the Grupo Montañero Gran Canaria since its formal founding on July 2, 1954 by its seven founding members. 8,000 activities. Over its 72 years, the club has carried out more than 8,000 sporting and cultural activities with the participation of over 215,000 people. Its initiatives range from historic openings of climbing routes at Roque Nublo, Roque Bentayga, or Ayacata, to expeditions in major international mountain ranges such as the Alps, the Himalayas, the Andes, the Atlas, and Kilimanjaro. Under the motto of Edward Whymper, Where there is a will, there is a way, the Grupo Montañero Gran Canaria has based its work on three key pillars: mountain sports practice, environmental education, and the dissemination of Canarian culture. Among its most impactful social contributions is the founding and organization of Día del Árbol, a pioneering initiative created in collaboration with the Excmo. Cabildo Insular de Gran Canaria in which more than 100,000 people have participated over three generations. The exhibition also recalls charitable actions such as the traditional Christmas toy distribution campaign that the club carried out for twelve years in rural highland communities that were isolated and accessible only by trails and paths, in municipalities like Tejeda or Agüimes. This long-standing commitment to the island’s natural heritage and sport earned the entity the Roque Nublo Silver Award from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria in 2020.

The Escuela de Música Banda de Santa Brígida has announced the opening of enrollment for the upcoming academic year 2026-2027. This cultural and educational program aims to foster love for music in the municipality, offering residents the opportunity to learn from scratch or improve skills across a wide variety of musical instruments. The activities will take place at Camino al Tejar, s/n (near CEIP Lola Massieu, La Angostura).
