Arucas offers a new opportunity to see the municipality’s representative cart that attended the Romería-Ofrenda del Pino 2026. It will be exhibited at Plaza de la Constitución on Saturday, September 12, from 11:00 to 13:30. An initiative of Asociación Cultural Salsipuedes with the collaboration of Ayuntamiento de Arucas.
The festival of Virgen del Pino is a significant date for the town’s population, who traditionally participate with affection in the Romería. For those neighbors who could not attend, and in general to show the cart that represented the citizenship in Teror, this exhibition is organized.
In this edition, the Arucas cart was created by Asociación Cultural Salsipuedes, for its 25th anniversary. The theme chosen by the collective to represent the municipality was “Arucas, where stone becomes art in the hands of the quarryman.” A cart, a homage to the quarry workers, that can be visited next Saturday, September 12, at Plaza de la Constitución.
