Gáldar will once again honor its star product with an exhibition of the best specimens, a tortilla contest, tributes, musical groups and Pepe Benavente. The Barrio de Piso Firme in Gáldar is getting ready to host the XXVII edition of the Fiesta de la Cebolla, a celebration that highlights the uniqueness of this locally grown product and the effort of the men and women who work it. Next Sunday, July 5, Piso Firme will once again celebrate the excellence of its onion with a program of musical performances, contests and distinctions.
