M.A.R.- Mujeres Africanas Rodando: An event aimed especially at women filmmakers from the Canary Islands, but open to all film professionals and interested people, to focus for three days on the cinema made by women of the African continent, to discover connections and common interests with filmmakers from the islands, and to foster the creation of Canary projects in which Africa plays an important role. The tricontinental spirit of the Canary Islands, as an outermost region of Europe politically and economically, geographically located in Africa and with strong historical and cultural ties to Latin America.
