Procession of La Esperanza

The Procession of La Esperanza. On the first Sunday in August, La Esperanza hosts a procession in honour of Our Lady of Hope. Every year, the El Rosario processions brings together pilgrims dressed in traditional Canarian costume, who accompany the statue of the Virgin amidst decorated carts, cattle, dancing and singing. The procession sets off from the Parish Church of Our Lady of Hope and makes its way to the Town Hall square. Its mid-altitude location makes it one of the most popular processions in the northern part of the island.
