The Pamela Festival in Tejina celebrates its Pamela Festival in August, a traditional hat design contest with originality and humor. It is a local celebration in Tejina, San Cristóbal de La Laguna.

Garachico hosts its Baile de Magos on 16 August 2026 as part of Saint Roch festivities. Attendees wear traditional Canarian costumes and parade to the rhythm of street bands and folk groups, with Roque de Garachico and the sea as a backdrop. Location: Garachico town centre. Date: 16 August 2026.

Infraoctava of the Fiesta de la Virgen

Procession of Saint Roch in Garachico. Garachico hosts the Procession of Saint Roch on the 16th of August 2026. The Saint Roch pilgrimage is described as an important patron saint festival with decorated carts, traditional costumes, and street bands through the historic centre.

The City Council is pleased to invite the public to participate free of charge in the Jornadas de convivencia y bienestar canino, an initiative aimed at promoting responsible ownership, animal welfare, and the coexistence of people and dogs through educational and recreational activities.

During the jornadas, the following activities will take place:

• Dog-assisted interventions in elderly care centers.
• Basic obedience education workshop, aimed at improving communication and the bond between people and their pets.
• Training session “Paseos sin estrés” with guidelines to enjoy calm and safe walks.
• Family canine gymkhana, a recreational activity to share with the family and dogs.

Tejina celebrates the Festival of the Hearts of Saint Bartholomew throughout the month of August, with the main day of celebration falling on the 24th of August. The village’s three areas—El Pico, Calle Arriba and Calle Abajo—spend weeks handcrafting enormous structures decorated with bread, fruit, flowers and sweets, which can reach heights of up to 12 metres. The arrival of the Hearts in the church square, on the Sunday before the 24th of August, is the highlight of a festival that has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and recognised with the CICOP International Award. The programme includes more than 50 events: an opening speech, pilgrimages, street parties, fireworks, the procession and the Festival of the Little Hearts on the last weekend of August.

The Procession in Arafo celebrating Saint Augustine with one of Tenerife's most meticulously organised processions. Carts, teams of oxen and traditional music groups parade through the town in a festive atmosphere that combines religious devotion and popular culture.

Camino Santiago por la Vida is the 4th edition of the solidarity journey of the Fundación Canaria Carrera por la Vida – Walk for Life. Open to women and men with breast cancer and their companions. From August 29 to September 6, 2026 they will walk 125 km along the Camino Frances to come together, share experiences and build bonds among people who are currently facing or have faced the disease, and those who accompany them. During the itinerary there will be awareness about early detection and visibility of survival. Includes measures of assistance and support during the march. Organized with the support of the Health Area of the Adeje Town Hall and the Sports Department of the Government of the Canary Islands. Limited places. The religious procession in Vilaflor, the highest municipality in Spain, forms part of the village’s patron saint festivities.
