Caprichos de Trapo - Pablo Sáez
A poetic homage to the popular puppeteer. From the discovery of Pedro Vidal's diary, a young artist reconstructs his story and, behind his mask, brings his memories to life through the device of “theater within the theater”. The original “Teatro de la Bicicleta”, by the old puppeteer, proposes shifts in perspective for the deconstruction of the puppeteer's craft.

Ruta Teatralizada “Santo de Chasna, camino de luz”
Ruta Teatralizada “Santo de Chasna, camino de luz” is a cultural proposal of the Town Hall of Vilaflor around the figure of Pedro de San José de Bethencourt, on the occasion of the IV Centenary of his birth. Under the title “Santo de Chasna, camino de luz,” this Sunday, 26 April, there will be a theater-guided route that will recreate different passages of his life, combining performance and musical accompaniment in an emblematic setting of the municipality. The activity, promoted by the Town Hall, is directed by Roberto Melo and involves the Asociación Cultural Imoque, along with collaborators.

Festival Internacional La Orotava Cittaslow 2026
La Villa is getting ready to host a new edition of the Festival Internacional La Orotava Cittaslow, an event that invites you to breathe, feel and savor the philosophy of care, calm and quality of life. In this second edition, La Orotava will experience a highlight with the official twinning with the municipality of Bubión, in Granada, marking the first official meeting between municipalities in the national Cittaslow network. The program will include various activities linked to sustainable tourism, education, gastronomy, local products and culture. On September 25, International Tourism Day, Plaza de la Constitución will be the main stage for the villa’s official acts to celebrate a more conscious, sustainable way of traveling, connected to the roots of the territory. Additionally, La Orotava students will take part in culinary workshops led by CanBio Comunidad Slow Food, focused on the value of food and the Slow Food philosophy. The Cittaslow badge will also be presented to the new establishments joining the Villa as part of this commitment to quality of life. The program will also feature the Km0 Fair “Las Ventitas,” a space devoted to local producers, crafts and flavors of the land. Music will also play a prominent role with performances by a.f. Oroval, Nicotine Swing and Somos Caracoles.

Cuerpos de Orgullo – V Festival contra la violencia estética y gordofobia – 2026
FIFTH Festival against aesthetic violence and fatphobia in the Canary Islands – CUERPOS DE ORGULLO is the first festival of music, market and education in the Canaries created to visibilize body diversity and dissident bodies, fighting fatphobia and aesthetic violence.
