SEGUNDA MESA REDONDA focused on analyzing ocean policies as a key tool for the sustainable development of the blue economy at a local scale, with special attention to the insular and coastal Canarias context. The session will be moderated by photographer Francis Pérez, who will provide a visual and documentary perspective on the relationship between the coast, marine biodiversity, and human activity in Canarias. A participatory activity aimed at vessels and professionals in the maritime-tourism sector of Puerto Colón, with the goal of promoting good practices in the collection and management of marine debris during routine outings.

The Auditorio Francisco Álvarez Abrante, in La Orotava, will host the show “Noches con Cristito y la madre canaria” on May 9 at 21:00 hours. The humorist Cristito will come to the town with a performance full of humor and everyday situations, accompanied by one of his best-known characters, la madre canaria. • SYNOPSIS: Buenos Aires 2010. Héctor Kessler, a retired military doctor, lives his retirement by making homemade perfumes as a hobby. His two children, now independent, visit him frequently with the aim of pulling him out of his confinement. At the same time, Sofía Timmerman appears, a woman belonging to the so-called “grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo”, who start a new campaign to locate the children who were stolen during the military dictatorship of General Videla, in the late 1970s. Both stories intertwine and converge, drastically changing the lives of their protagonists. The past regains importance, and we will try to discover what is true and what is false in this small story of anonymous beings, but as real as the tragedy they themselves have endured.
