LA COSTURERA MÁGICA LLEGA A SANTIAGO DEL TEIDE
Mariquita and Tontón visit the workshop of a very special elderly woman, capable of giving life to classic tales with threads, fabrics and a lot of imagination. A fun and heartwarming journey through stories that have passed down from generation to generation.

- SYNOPSIS: The festival presents a master of manipulation around the world with two masterful pieces. Clàssics revives its most iconic characters in a text-free work, full of humor and musicality after 40 years of career. On the other hand, Poemas Visuales, inspired by Joan Brossa, transforms foam rubber letters into living beings: dogs, dancers and acrobats. It is a display of technique and poetry where the letters gain soul, captivating the audience with unparalleled virtuosity.

AZÚCAR
AZÚCAR, a work by the company Comediantes de la Cacharra Verde, a Canary Islands based group of educational and transformative music and theatre for children, presents the show AZÚCAR, inspired by the life and work of the artist Celia Cruz. Celebrating the centenary of her birth. In 1925, in Havana, Celia Cruz was born, “the Guarachera of Cuba,” recognized as one of the most important and influential Latino artists of the 20th century. The piece brings us closer to Celia through a text that recounts the most notable events of the character, accompanied—as is customary in the company’s productions—by music, dance and participatory games.
