The story follows Iballa, a Guanche woman who has been enslaved, and Guaniacas, a young mixed-race lawyer who fights to restore her freedom while the rebellious Guanches wait in the mountains of Anaga. Domingo Garí is a professor of Contemporary History at the Universidad de La Laguna.
