This coming Friday, April 17, the Casa de la Cultura "Carlos Alonso" of El Rosario, in La Esperanza, hosts a double artistic proposal consisting of the meeting between women from El Rosario and Tegueste "Inquietudes de ombligo", starting at 17:00, and the Concierto Derecho de Ida Susal, starting at 19:15.\n\nThis proposal is organized by the areas of Participación Ciudadana and Igualdad of the Ayuntamiento de El Rosario, with the support of the Consejería insular de Acción Social, Inclusión, Voluntariado y Participación Ciudadana of the Cabildo de Tenerife and the association En Procesos.\n\nIda Susal is a musical project that since 2010 frames the songs of the Tenerife-born Julia Botanz Guimerá within different formats of concert and accompaniment. Recital by Silvia Tro Santafé (mezzo-soprano) in the Chamber Hall of the Auditorium of Tenerife, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. SYNOPSIS: In the 1970s, the fusion of jazz with other musics began. Led by the great trumpeter Miles Davis, musicians arrived on the jazz scene: Joseph Zawinul, keyboardist, and Wayne Shorter, saxophonist. These two great performers and composers, joined by a remarkable electric bassist named Jaco Pastorius, would create a flagship project of 'Jazz Fusion' called Weather Report: a melting pot of world musics fused with jazz. A cult group.
The evening will give us the opportunity to enjoy some of their pieces and enter their musical universe.
