La Hora del Planeta is a WWF campaign that started in 2007 in Sidney, Australia, with the symbolic gesture of turning off the lights for one hour as a sign of the fight against climate change. It is a global movement that brings together cities around the world. This year El Sauzal participates in the initiative.

From Monday, April 6 to Saturday, April 11, 2026, the XXI Semana de la Salud will take place in El Sauzal. Most activities are free, except for a healthy walk on April 11, which costs 15 € for residents and 25 € for non-residents.
