La Casa de la Cultura "Carlos Alonso" de La Esperanza, en El Rosario, acoge la XLII Muestra de Folklore Musical Canario el sábado 23 de mayo a las 19:00 horas, organizado por el Grupo Folklórico de la Facultad de Educación, con la colaboración del Ayuntamiento de El Rosario. Durante el encuentro se realizará un homenaje póstumo al recordado agricultor Onésimo Benítez Bacallado. ENTRADA GRATUITA.

Ruta teatralizada "Pedro de Bethencourt. Santo de Chasna, camino de luz". Domingo 24 de mayo de 2026. Hora: 17:00 h. Lugar: inmediaciones de la Plaza y Parroquia de San Pedro Apostol de Vilaflor de Chasna. Una propuesta cultural única en torno a la figura de Pedro de Bethencourt, Santo de Chasna, que combina interpretación y acompañamiento musical. Dirigida por Roberto Melo y con la participación de la Asociación Cultural Imoque. Impulsada por el Ayuntamiento de Vilaflor de Chasna. Una oportunidad para acercarse, a través de las artes escénicas, a la historia y legado de Canarias.
Festival of the Hearts of Saint Bartholomew
Tejina celebrates the Festival of the Hearts of Saint Bartholomew throughout the month of August, with the main day of celebration falling on the 24th of August. The village’s three areas—El Pico, Calle Arriba and Calle Abajo—spend weeks handcrafting enormous structures decorated with bread, fruit, flowers and sweets, which can reach heights of up to 12 metres. The arrival of the Hearts in the church square, on the Sunday before the 24th of August, is the highlight of a festival that has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and recognised with the CICOP International Award. The programme includes more than 50 events: an opening speech, pilgrimages, street parties, fireworks, the procession and the Festival of the Little Hearts on the last weekend of August.
