SYNOPSIS: Bibi believes in a world with no apparent borders, where visions replace matter, where imagination becomes the arithmetic of a plausible poetry understood by all: she lives through Bibi, an idealistic, irrational, necessary circus. Festival Internacional Clownbaret – FIC 2026: The twentieth edition of the Festival Internacional Clownbaret, FIC 2026, returns to the Canary Islands from September 30 to October 25 with an extraordinary program featuring 17 companies and international top artists. A total of 74 performances and activities inviting you to discover, feel, and connect with the fascinating universe of clown and circus arts. We will also tour 12 municipalities to bring the festival magic to every corner. Obra El sorteo de Casina - Compañía Noite Bohemia
Play "El sorteo de Casina" by Noite Bohemia Company, as part of the amateur theater exchange program.
Synopsis:
A classic farce filled with greed, jealousy, and much humor. The story places us in the house of Lisídamo, an aging lecher and avaricious man who has become hopelessly infatuated with Casina, a young orphan girl raised as a servant in his own home. However, Lisídamo is not the only one sighing for her: his own son, Eftinico, is deeply in love with the young woman.
To get his way without arousing direct suspicion, Lisídamo hatches a plan: marry Casina to his trusted foreman, Olímpico, on the condition that he relinquishes his so-called “marital rights” on the wedding night. But Lisídamo’s cunning wife, Cleóstrata, uncovers the scheme and counterattacks by proposing to marry the girl to Calino, her son’s servant. Unable to reach an agreement, the decision is left to chance through a wild draw of lots. What the old lecher does not suspect is that the women of the house have prepared an epic revenge. Between disguises, confusions in the dark, false identities, and a wildly comic pace, the old man’s plan becomes a true nightmare full of ridiculous situations.
