Events in Gran Canaria This Month

An outdoor summer with live music. Performance by violinist José Luis Montesdeoca and the musical offering from Haché Tamarindos, to enjoy different sounds and ambiance.

Noche de Pinchos de Arinaga is one of the most anticipated summer gatherings, where neighbors and visitors enjoy every Thursday a varied gastronomic offering at the local establishments, accompanied by live music performances that fill the promenade with atmosphere and energy.

The V Rallysprint Ciudad de Arucas, with an excellent pace of registrations. The event that once again is organized by FanMotor already counts around 30 teams registered, a figure that will continue to rise until Wednesday, August 19 at 14:00 h, when the registration period will close. The organization reminds that its new date of celebration will be the 28th and 29th of the current month, also with a new route that includes the passage through the iconic Los Chorros junction.

When more than two weeks remain to complete the registration period, this V Rallysprint Ciudad de Arucas adds around 30 teams at this point, an interesting figure that will surely increase before Wednesday, August 19 at 14:00 h, the moment this mandatory participation deadline will close.

With great certainty, the new route has aroused the teams' interest that have planned their participation in this event. Technical and with good asphalt, it includes the passage through the iconic Los Chorros junction, a strategic point in the rallies of Gran Canaria and which, as a novelty, has been included for the first time in the Arucas rallysprint.

On the other hand, FanMotor reminds participants and fans that the event has been moved forward by one week relative to the initial calendar. Now, August 28 will be dedicated to pre-checks and Saturday the 29th to the development of the six timed stages.

The organization has announced the official poster of this fifth edition, a medium on which all institutions, companies and entities collaborating in this edition appear, in which FanMotor has put all its effort.

The V Rallysprint Ciudad de Arucas has the support of the Ayuntamiento de Arucas, the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and its Sports department, the Government of the Canary Islands, Arucas Mola, Archiauto Ford, Diasan Puertas Automáticas, Palmita Sport, 5Mentarios, Mahepa 27, Entre Duelas & Tapas and Extintores ICC.

Summer Campaign – The Municipal Sports Society (SMD) launches once again its Summer Campaign 2025, aimed at facilitating family balance during school holidays, while offering children an enriching, active, and fun experience. The campus will run from June 22 to August 28 at the Complejo Municipal de Deportes and its annexed facilities, with a full program of sports activities such as swimming, karate, and paddle, as well as cooking, games, and camping. Typical schedule: 9:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday. Pre-campaign pickup services (7:15 to 9:00) and post-campaign (14:00 to 16:00) available.

The Escuela de Música Banda de Santa Brígida has announced the opening of enrollment for the upcoming academic year 2026-2027. This cultural and educational program aims to foster love for music in the municipality, offering residents the opportunity to learn from scratch or improve skills across a wide variety of musical instruments. The activities will take place at Camino al Tejar, s/n (near CEIP Lola Massieu, La Angostura).
