Summer Campaign – The Municipal Sports Society (SMD) launches once again its Summer Campaign 2025, aimed at facilitating family balance during school holidays, while offering children an enriching, active, and fun experience. The campus will run from June 22 to August 28 at the Complejo Municipal de Deportes and its annexed facilities, with a full program of sports activities such as swimming, karate, and paddle, as well as cooking, games, and camping. Typical schedule: 9:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday. Pre-campaign pickup services (7:15 to 9:00) and post-campaign (14:00 to 16:00) available.

The Escuela de Música Banda de Santa Brígida has announced the opening of enrollment for the upcoming academic year 2026-2027. This cultural and educational program aims to foster love for music in the municipality, offering residents the opportunity to learn from scratch or improve skills across a wide variety of musical instruments. The activities will take place at Camino al Tejar, s/n (near CEIP Lola Massieu, La Angostura). The Arucas Town Hall promotes, with the support of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, an inclusive camp for students of the enclave classrooms in the municipality.

Within the monographic lecture cycle of the workshop “Cuidados y Autocuidados,” the upcoming Wednesdays on July 1, 8 and 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Centro Municipal de Cultura (Biblioteca), the lecture cycle titled “Bienestar para quienes cuidan: mente, emoción y movimiento” will be presented. Admission is free until capacity is reached.

The course “Longevidad, muerte y renacimiento” offers a serene and reflective journey through one of the deepest questions of human existence: the cycle of life and death. We will explore the limits of human longevity, the causes and natural meaning of death from scientific and philosophical perspectives. We will also learn about the teachings of different religions on the afterlife and what science has been able to investigate through Near-Death Experiences (NDE). We will address ideas of final judgment, paradise and hell, as well as various conceptions of the continuity of existence: resurrection, reincarnation, transmigration or samsara. Finally, we will reflect on the philosophical, spiritual, and human tools that can help us face the end of life consciously, peacefully, and with dignity.

The church of Santa Brígida will, on July 15 at 19:30, become the stage for a singular journey into the music of the Hispanic Baroque with the concert “Si el aire suspira. Música del Archivo de la Catedral de Santa Ana,” a proposal by Capilla de Santa Anna focused on recovering and interpreting the musical legacy of Diego Durón Ortega (1653-1731), one of the most relevant composers in Canarian history.

Noche de Pinchos de Arinaga is one of the most anticipated events of the summer, where locals and visitors enjoy each Thursday a varied gastronomic offering in the area’s establishments, accompanied by live musical performances that fill the promenade with atmosphere and dynamism.

The Biblioplaya de Arinaga returns this summer with a cultural program designed to enjoy reading, creativity, and leisure in a unique seaside setting. During July and August, the Caseta del Muelle will host different proposals for all audiences, becoming a meeting space to share and experience culture. On this occasion we will have the participation of the storyteller Gara Selena, who will offer a session full of stories, imagination, and fun for the whole family.

Daniel Diabolo | The virtuosity of Cirque du Soleil: 25 years of experimentation backs Daniel Blasco Marcos, a global artist who has toured with giants like Cirque du Soleil and Les 7 Doigts de la Main. He will present excerpts from his show Asíndeton.

Toto Juggling | A magnet for world records: Pure dynamism arrives with Luis Totó Niño Villesca, a Chilean juggler based in the Canary Islands.

Seba Clown | Poetry in the form of soap: Minorcan Sebastián Ametller brings Bubble Clown.
