EXPOSICIÓN RISCOS DE COLORES is the new exhibition by José Javier Melián Santana, which can be visited at Casa Gourié, Museo Municipal de Arucas, from June 12 to August 28, 2026. The exhibition brings together around forty works in which painting and sculpture dialogue through a technique that reuses disposable pallets. Summer hours: Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 14:00.

The campus will run from June 22 to August 28 at the Complejo Municipal de Deportes and its annexed facilities, with a full program of sports activities such as swimming, karate, and paddle, as well as cooking, games, and camping. Typical schedule: 9:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday. Pre-campaign pickup services (7:15 to 9:00) and post-campaign (14:00 to 16:00) available.

The Addiction Behavior Unit of the Ayuntamiento de Arucas, on the occasion of World Drug Day commemorated today, June 26, 2026, will present on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the Salón de Actos of the Biblioteca Municipal the documentary “DESDE DENTRO, historias de proceso y cambio.” It will also feature technical staff from the Addiction Behavior Unit who, from their professional experience, explain the multicausal dimension of addictions, debunk myths about the profile of affected people, highlight the importance of removing stigma leading to discrimination, and especially make recovery visible, stressing that getting out of addiction is possible and real.

We will explore the limits of human longevity, the causes and natural meaning of death from scientific and philosophical perspectives. We will also learn about the teachings of different religions on the afterlife and what science has been able to investigate through Near-Death Experiences (NDE). We will address ideas of final judgment, paradise and hell, as well as various conceptions of the continuity of existence: resurrection, reincarnation, transmigration or samsara. Finally, we will reflect on the philosophical, spiritual, and human tools that can help us face the end of life consciously, peacefully, and with dignity.
