Events in Gran Canaria This Week

The Ayuntamiento de Arucas organizes the forty-seventh edition of the day “Ayuntamientos Democráticos.” This established initiative aims to foster reflection and create a space for dialogue to strengthen participatory democracy at the local level.

This year, the main speaker will be the mayor of Mogán, Onalia Bueno García. In her presentation, under the title “Mogán, Transforming Municipality” she will address housing challenges and tourism taxation.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 8 April, at 18:00 hours, at the Centro Municipal de Cultura in Arucas.

After 20 years on stage, Kike Pérez presents a new show full of humor and reflection. The play "Tacones prohibidos" at the Nuevo Teatro Viejo de Arucas, performed by Lili Quintana. It is a staging with acting and music that presents five distinct female portraits and offers the audience an emotional journey of approximately sixty minutes. Through texts and songs, the play presents stories starring women that reflect realities, emotions and diverse experiences; an unconventional monologue configured as a parade of female characters facing various experiences and their ability to chart their own path.
