Events in Tenerife in September 2026

Camino Santiago por la Vida is the 4th edition of the solidarity journey of the Fundación Canaria Carrera por la Vida – Walk for Life. Open to women and men with breast cancer and their companions. From August 29 to September 6, 2026 they will walk 125 km along the Camino Frances to come together, share experiences and build bonds among people who are currently facing or have faced the disease, and those who accompany them. During the itinerary there will be awareness about early detection and visibility of survival. Includes measures of assistance and support during the march. Organized with the support of the Health Area of the Adeje Town Hall and the Sports Department of the Government of the Canary Islands. Limited places. FIFTH Festival against aesthetic violence and fatphobia in the Canary Islands – CUERPOS DE ORGULLO is the first festival of music, market and education in the Canaries created to visibilize body diversity and dissident bodies, fighting fatphobia and aesthetic violence.

SYNOPSIS: To tell her story, three actresses will voice her: a young woman will narrate her life in Poitiers and Nazi-occupied Paris, a middle-aged one will recount her early years in Tenerife, and an older one will take us through her final days. Each actress will star in her stage, while the other two will assume different key characters from her life: Breton, Óscar Domínguez, Picasso, Minik, Valentine Penrose, María Belén Morales… They will also interact in an almost dream-like dimension, weaving surrealism into the piece. The stage space will reflect this surreal spirit, with objects that evoke her art: impossible combinations, unexpected images.
