The Baile de Magos in Puerto de la Cruz is a traditional Canarian festival featuring folk performances and street celebrations in Puerto de la Cruz. The page highlights Canarian folk traditions, traditional dress, and impromptu performances by folk groups during the July festival.

The event will take place on the upcoming July 18, from 11:00 to 13:00, at Mercadillo de La Matanza. An activity aimed at expanding knowledge about the world of wine and enjoying a guided enological experience.

Play Las bodas del Figaro at the cabaret Fígaro. We travel back to the sixties to discover the most outspoken part of an oppressed Canarias. In those turbulent times, the company Los Cancán is about to premiere its next show at the cabaret Fígaro: ‘La boda’, a daring satire that challenges Francoism. This cabaret becomes the perfect refuge for priests, military officers, transformists and revolutionaries to mingle among sequins, love, heartbreak, and laughter… All of this, mixed together, leads to ‘Las bodas del Fígaro’.

Pilgrimage of San Benito.

On 12th July, San Cristóbal de La Laguna celebrates the Pilgrimage of San Benito, one of the most iconic in the Canary Islands. The pilgrimage will bring together thousands of people in traditional costume, along with decorated floats, folk music (Rondallas), and traditional songs. Food is handed out to the public along the route. This event has its roots in the celebration of the summer harvests.

Romería de la Exaltation de la Santa Cruz y el Santo Hermano Pedro returned to Llano del Moro yesterday, Sunday, filling the usual romería atmosphere with the Paseo Romero de la Exaltación de la Santa Cruz y el Santo Hermano Pedro celebration. From 11:30 a.m., punctual for the religious service beforehand, locals and visitors gathered around Plaza Gabriel Cruz in one of the marked dates of the Llano del Moro core festivities. Faithful to the appointment, the mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, and the rest of the Corporation members also joined the romero walk, which gave way to a popular verbena on Plaza de la Iglesia, performed by the orchestras “Wamanpy” and “Latin Sound”.

Registration opens for the XXVII edition of the Camino de Santiago, Ruta Jacobea Tinerfena 2026, which will depart on July 18 at 08:00 from the Parroquia de Santiago Apóstol, with arrival the next day at the Ermita del Apóstol Santiago, and then proceed to the Iglesia Matriz, where a pilgrims' mass will be held. Festival de Habaneras in Santa Cruz: Performances will take place at the Plaza de la Iglesia de La Concepción from July 9 to 11, with several groups and choirs scheduled each night starting at 7:30 PM.

Llano del Moro kicks off this weekend with festivities in honor of the Santa Cruz and Hermano Pedro. The events begin on Friday, July 3 with the competition and gala for the Romera Mayor title. Saturday, July 4 includes Día de la Familia (children's activities, paella), a football match between singles and married couples, Ruta Salsera (16:00-19:00) with DJ Fran Gil and Laura Mambox, a mass and procession at 20:00, a street party at 22:30 with Revelación and Manavy Band. Sunday, July 5 features a religious service at 11:30 and Romería, the street party at 15:30 with Wamanpy and Latin Sound. Organized by the Fiesta Committee with the collaboration of municipalities. Varadero, Bocacangrejo and Radazul honor this weekend the Virgen del Carmen. The liturgical celebrations will be this Friday, July 17 at 7:00 PM in Varadero, Saturday, July 18 mass in Bocacangrejo at 7:30 PM and at 8:00 PM in Radazul with the ACM “Princesa Yaiza”. The program of events includes a procession of the Virgen del Carmen from 8:00 PM on Saturday in Varadero, a verbena starting at 11:00 PM, and an afternoon verbena on Sunday the 19th with Soloist David Pérez. In Bocacangrejo there are tournaments, open-air cinema on July 16 at 9:30 PM, Queen Election Gala on July 17, and on July 18 a tournament of envite, dessert and tortilla contest, procession and pyrotechnic show with the verbena of the orchestras Columbia and Grupo Saoco. On Sunday the 19th there will be a family didactic activity, paellada and awards for the contests.

XLIV Feria de Artesanía Garachico will host its traditional Feria de Artesanía from July 3 to 5, reaching this year its 44th edition and solidifying its status as one of the most emblematic meetings in the Canary Islands’ sector.

For three days, the fair will bring together more than forty artisans from across the archipelago, who will display and put up for sale pieces made using traditional and contemporary techniques.�a0

This year’s edition is dedicated to traditional carpentry, highlighting a craft closely tied to the history and identity of the islands. In addition to the exhibition and sale of artisanal products, the program will include live demonstrations, participatory workshops, folk performances, and a varied gastronomic offer, turning Garachico’s historic center into a space of coexistence and cultural dynamism.

The Saturday and Sunday afternoon will be dedicated to Canarian folklore with performances by the Asociación Cultural Ben-Gara and the Agrupación Folclórica Menceyes de Daute, accompanied by their dance troupe, the Bailadores de la Isla Baja.

OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION AND AWARDING OF THE PRIZES OF THE 3RD EDITION OF THE TAMAIMOS AWARDS TO THE EXPERIMENTAL PROPOSAL BASED ON LOCAL CLAY. Exhibition works from July 20 to 24 (8:00–13:00 and 16:00–20:00) and July 28 to August 7 (8:00–13:00), except August 1 and 2. Coordinated by FUNDACIÓN CANARIA TAMAIMOS and VARABARA CREATIVE PEOPLE.

The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Red ConecTen, will deliver a free training from July 21 to 31, 2026 for self-employed people and companies in municipalities adhering to the Sistema Dinámico de Adquisición (SDA).

Duration: 8 hours in total (2 in-person sessions of 4 hours each).

From 3rd to 19th July, 2026, the Auditorium of Tenerife and various other venues in Santa Cruz will host the 20th Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ 20). The edition focuses on Oscar-nominated and Oscar-winning soundtracks, featuring the Spanish première of “John Williams Reimagined”, performances of “Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert”, the FIMUCITÉ 20 Red Carpet Gala, and the open-air Summer Cinema in Plaza de Residencial Anaga.
