Seniors from El Rosario resume therapeutic and leisure baths on Las Teresitas beach during July and August. The registration period opens tomorrow. This leisure and free-time option aims to enrich the summer days of the municipality’s elderly residents, who, on a weekly basis and by turns, enjoy a schedule of visits to the Santa Cruz beach in which about 120 people will participate each week. The registration period will remain open until the offered places are filled. As each year, to facilitate participation, a bus transport service organized by the town hall will collect residents at various points in the municipality. This activity, completely free of charge, is intended for residents of El Rosario aged over 60. As restored in 2015, this edition activities will again be held at Las Teresitas beach, a demand from users of this initiative due to the usual lack of water currents at the beach, as well as the thinner sand that makes exercise easier for many older people with mobility difficulties. “Mayores a la playa 2026”, within the Active Aging Prevention and Promotion Program, includes the accompaniment of several technicians who will supervise the groups and fill their beach visits with various workshops and toning, gymnastics and maintenance exercises, appropriate to the participants' ages, as well as animations and memory and concentration games that contribute to making fun one of the ingredients of their beach days.

Ghost-Note will be performing in the Chamber Hall at the Auditorium of Tenerife, Santa Cruz, on 3rd July. The funk group led by Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth—both members of Snarky Puppy—will present their album “Mustard n’Onions” (2024) as part of the 35th Canarias Jazz & Más International Festival.

XLIV Feria de Artesanía Garachico will host its traditional Feria de Artesanía from July 3 to 5, reaching this year its 44th edition and solidifying its status as one of the most emblematic meetings in the Canary Islands’ sector.

For three days, the fair will bring together more than forty artisans from across the archipelago, who will display and put up for sale pieces made using traditional and contemporary techniques.�a0

This year’s edition is dedicated to traditional carpentry, highlighting a craft closely tied to the history and identity of the islands. In addition to the exhibition and sale of artisanal products, the program will include live demonstrations, participatory workshops, folk performances, and a varied gastronomic offer, turning Garachico’s historic center into a space of coexistence and cultural dynamism.

The Saturday and Sunday afternoon will be dedicated to Canarian folklore with performances by the Asociación Cultural Ben-Gara and the Agrupación Folclórica Menceyes de Daute, accompanied by their dance troupe, the Bailadores de la Isla Baja.

Llano del Moro kicks off this weekend with festivities in honor of the Santa Cruz and Hermano Pedro. The events begin on Friday, July 3 with the competition and gala for the Romera Mayor title. Saturday, July 4 includes Día de la Familia (children's activities, paella), a football match between singles and married couples, Ruta Salsera (16:00-19:00) with DJ Fran Gil and Laura Mambox, a mass and procession at 20:00, a street party at 22:30 with Revelación and Manavy Band. Sunday, July 5 features a religious service at 11:30 and Romería, the street party at 15:30 with Wamanpy and Latin Sound. Organized by the Fiesta Committee with the collaboration of municipalities. From 3rd to 19th July, 2026, the Auditorium of Tenerife and various other venues in Santa Cruz will host the 20th Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ 20). The edition focuses on Oscar-nominated and Oscar-winning soundtracks, featuring the Spanish première of “John Williams Reimagined”, performances of “Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert”, the FIMUCITÉ 20 Red Carpet Gala, and the open-air Summer Cinema in Plaza de Residencial Anaga.

Romería de la Exaltation de la Santa Cruz y el Santo Hermano Pedro returned to Llano del Moro yesterday, Sunday, filling the usual romería atmosphere with the Paseo Romero de la Exaltación de la Santa Cruz y el Santo Hermano Pedro celebration. From 11:30 a.m., punctual for the religious service beforehand, locals and visitors gathered around Plaza Gabriel Cruz in one of the marked dates of the Llano del Moro core festivities. Faithful to the appointment, the mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, and the rest of the Corporation members also joined the romero walk, which gave way to a popular verbena on Plaza de la Iglesia, performed by the orchestras “Wamanpy” and “Latin Sound”.

On 12th July, San Cristóbal de La Laguna celebrates the Pilgrimage of San Benito, one of the most iconic in the Canary Islands. The pilgrimage will bring together thousands of people in traditional costume, along with decorated floats, folk music (Rondallas), and traditional songs. Food is handed out to the public along the route. This event has its roots in the celebration of the summer harvests.
